She's essentially releasing the album she had ready to go back in 2013 1

I was a bit iffy about the song choice because it did seem sort of dated, and wasn't sure that just re-recording it would be enough. Her new vocals and the new lyrics are both obviously very good but the alterations made to the production really elevate it just enough that I think it was executed extremely well. Some of the lyric changes are sort of odd (especially the chorus, I can't tell if she's saying firebirds [which isn't a real thing] or fireworks, and the change to 1999 feels random) but otherwise it flows good. The music video is also really nice, I'm normally not a fan of music videos that are basically just glam shots in succession but she looks amazing and the visuals she pulls out would put bigger pop stars to shame.

I still prefer how punchy the leaked version is over this but I have high hopes for the rest of the tracks that she has to re-record. And she's only been recording these since the beginning of the year so I'm incredibly impressed how SLAY turned out.

I believe she is referring to the Pontiac Firebird. which would make a lot of sense for Bonnie due to her love for the 70s and 80s. 3

Considering the fact it's indie release of 10 years old song by the person who dipped for years, it's pretty good.

I think it’s most likely Don’t Get Mad Get Famous since it was supposed to come with SLAY as a b-side initially but I’m happy to take anything from the new album as long as we get album pre-order finally.
