Okay so my theory is that it is a double LP. This is the first album and the second half (another 10-13 tracks) comes out tomorrow as digital. Kinda like Eternal Atake by Lil Uzi Vert

it's a complete lack of taste to demean the physical version of your album to the point where it's just a preview of the whole project.

printing different covers and all just for that? make it make sense.

 

I'm starting to think that the digital edition tracklist will NOT be different.

I mean… Thriller, Purple Rain, 21 by Adele… all iconic albums with like less than 10 songs

 

She saw the criticisms of her previous albums that they tend to be long and have some filler (e.g. PinkPrint & Queen) and decided to make a short cohesive album.

Meanwhile the reality is she submitted whatever she had (aka unfinished album) for vinyl printing which takes a few months and is now scrambling to finish up the remaining tracks for tonight's release. Like pls, this def is not some masterplan of hers to deliver some artistic double LP/statement.

It basically has to be. She teased tracks and collabs that arent on this album. Let Me Calm Down and the handful of other song initials she teased proof this.

I don't care one way or the other what the track list is, but I'm so over the Midnights/PF2 mindset of having a refined version of the album physically and an expanded digital version. Oh well, if it helps sales I guess
