Doja most likely wanted Nicki to reciprocate all the "love" she has shown to her, which doesn't really make sense.

It's very telling that she/her team came back at Nicki after she posted pictures of Billie on her story. She probably wanted to have the same treatment, be what Bia/JT are in Nicki's eyes.

 

I'm still hoping this is a publicity stunt for their incoming record breaking collab on the Gag City Deluxe, I won't give up til a shoe gets thrown.

I’m really confused why Doja passing on Cowgirl (which is actually a terrible song) isn’t the same as Nicki passing on Get Into It a couple of years ago? She thinks she’s owed anything and everything which makes her look insecure as hell meanwhile her album is a runaway hit. Like ur winning who cares to even perpetuate this “beef” when it clearly is one sided

Nicki passed on Get Into It YuH... and that was THE END.

Doja accepted the offer to get on Cowgirl, recorded her verse and send it back very fast. Then months later, she wanted to pull her verse back because she was starting the Scarlet Era (which didn't fit Cowgirl's sound). Then, Doja's team came back to tell Nicki they still wanted the collab to happen. About two weeks before PF2's release, they hit up Nicki AGAIN to tell her Doja wasn't sure she liked her and wanted to pull her verse. 

 

Get Into It Yuh was a clear negative answer while Cowgirl was a constant flip flopping mess. Big Difference.mp3

To be fair, it’s all been one sided information. Whether or not it’s fake, Doja has shown Nicki love publicly even when PF2 was released but Nicki has never reciprocated publicly (though she did like a Doja tweet last month). I’m sure there were things bubbling under the surface that led Doja to feel the way she did that Nicki isn’t being transparent about. 
 

In any case, wtv the issue was, a clarification would have been a call away. Not sure why Nicki has to hear through other people / Doja’s team about how Doja actually felt. For all we know, this whole thing is a publicity stunt for both of them
