Cowgirl is actually one of my faves from the album except the last chorus shoulve been emitted. It's wayyyy too repetitive

The hate is so forced. I’m no Nicki stan but I’ve been following her casually since 2010 and this album is perfectly fine. Adore Let Me Calm Down, my fave for sure. Like all Nicki albums I think it’s way too long and could’ve been excellent at 11-14 tracks. But I’ve gotten used to her albums all being way too bloated and having to make a playlist with the best songs anyways so it’s not a big deal. 

My ranking for her discography at this point goes:

I wish she referenced or used an interpolation of Moment 4 Life chorus on Are You Gone Already, rather than Billie. 
 

It’s a well done song, but incredibly heavy to sit through, so I find myself skipping. I get why she struggles to listen to it.
 

I think it could’ve struck that same emotional/personal impact, but have been more accessible. Plus, an appropriate call back & interesting flip on M4L, from a triumphant success anthem, to one about loss or cherishing moments with loved ones & the juxtaposition of birth & death.

I went to high school with the producer. Slade da Monsta who also produced “Press” for Cardi B. The song was completed in 2019 actually. She reached out to him right before the VMAs to perform the song.
