The overwhelming negativity about this album is quite annoying honestly. Is it her strongest work? IMO No. Is it better than Pink Friday? IMO No. 

 

But it’s still fun and enjoyable overall. People are getting very annoying being a music critic about everything and presenting their opinions as facts. Just enjoy the music or move along. You can even say you’re not feeling it, but people making judgments and passing them off as a standard that MUST be met like their music critic opinion matters at all is just annoying. The whining about samples, saying it sounds rushed, saying there’s no PF resemblance, like stfu already, miserable people.

I love this album. BOPS, bops, and more bops. She delivered exactly what I would want from a Nicki album. This is personally my favorite Nicki project since Pinkprint.

 

TBH I'm tired of people trashing albums due to "lack of cohesion". So every song can sound the same or in a very similar vein? We have been there, done that a thousand times these days. I'd rather get a maybe less cohesive album with more distinct bops and songs from one another than a midtempo homogenous serious album that sacrifices interesting unique qualities for cohesion.  At least she swung big on some of these, and I don't think it's as incohesive as people are suggesting. This sonically sounds 100% like it's in the Pink Friday universe and this album sounds distinctly Nicki. Her peers would not be releasing this record. This album is fun and unique and i will be using.
