Nicki, you can’t name a song Pink Birthday and not have it be a banger. This is cute though, something for bird barbs

Ugh, this Draya song is already the worst

I feel like to each their one but to me this is a true sequel ! It’s like a full circle moment to where she was at the beginning of her career to now. Definitely a nod to the pop sample of the OG pink friday but more current. This definitely feels like more of a commercial album than a full on rap album but once again - so was Pink Friday 1. Even in the lyrics you can tell she’s just happy being a mom and married etc. def more chilled and matured than PF1 with lots of references to the original.

yall can’t tell me Queen is better than this because chiiiiii. It’s also better than OG Pink friday

Album review

4/10

I didn’t come in with high expectations because her music has been very lackluster but this album definitely dissapointed me. I didn’t want it to though.

It feels like a bunch of leftovers thrown together from different albums. It doesn’t really have heart or a story. The samples are overly saturated and lazy in my opinion.  I wanted more female collaborations. I feel like this album would of been more tolerable with some fun female rap collaborations but it lacked thar heavily.

There’s no denying that Nicki has left a print in the rap game but for some reason she just doesn’t do it for me now.

UPON my fifth listen, it is CLICKING a lot better. I am ENJOYING it. I will be deleting the intro however....the album will now start with Barbie Dangerous as god intended. I really think that intro is leaving a BAD taste for many and is throwing off the initial listen.

Just the Memories would have been a better opener if she was so against Barbie Dangerous starting things off

There's a reason why the much superior Just The Memories is the opener on physical versions

The only Nicki album intro that I actually like is Ganja Burn. It's not a bad opener but it's definitely somewhat similar to All Things Go.

Anybody who complains about samples clearly don't listen to hip-hop music. Sampling has always been a part of hip-hop music. Those chipmunk vocals are nothing new. This actually give the old-school classic hip-hop album vibe she was going for.

Nicki just can't make a good album can she :skull: Her talent as a rapper is indisputable. But she isn't able to craft a collection of high quality songs that feels like a true album.

The overreliance on lazy samples and tacky-sounding Garageband beats is a glaring issue and speaks to a lack of creative drive on her part. Like... I wish a producer made a pack of 15 really strong, unique beats for her that were fully formed and just told her to rap over them.

Right? The OG Pink Friday era was full of samples like this. She's calling back to that.
