These samples on this album are giving straight PF vibes & I love this for me.

Everyone bitching about the samples when Pink Friday had a lot too, and also pulled from 80s alt pop songs… worms for brains.

Bahm Bahm that song fr it feels the most traditional Nicki or at least the one of the past few years.

 

Red Ruby really sits well in this album tbh. made me appreciate it more.

my #1 issue with this album is wishing it dropped in the spring/summer. most the tracks have that summertime feeling.

Love how she closes this off with such personal and calm songs. Tbh the album isnt a successor to Pink Friday, its more of its own project. its far more personal than I would have thought and i love that- the regular Nicki and the side she hardly shows in her persona and features. I'll say more later since this is only my first listen but for now, its a solid album and possibly my favorite this year. I still think Queen is overall a better listen but it doesnt negate from this album.

ooooh i agree. it does give a lighter feel especially with the abundance of singing and airiness.

Finished listening and there's definitely a great album in here, but it's so bloated with fillers unfortunately. Despite that, I'm impressed with how cohesive it is. The whole album has a very fresh soundscape
