ANG3L Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) Forward From Trini sounds like a Tik Tok hit to me the rhythm getting faster and faster Edited December 8, 2023 by ANG3L 2
ImpressMeMuch Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 oh wow Just The Memories is great and that's a wrap! Big Difference was a trip to listen to bc of how many times I've listened to the snippet lmao 1

trainsskyscrapers Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) My Final Thoughts? This album is what Queen Radio: Volume 1 should've been ideally: a playlist of unreleased songs both new and old that were left on the cutting-room-floor from previous projects, with a few cult-classic loosies thrown in like Megatron, Big Barbie, Remember Me, Cap Backwards, Yikes, Do We Have A Problem, Bussin, Regret In Your Tears, Red Ruby, Super Freaky Girl, Last Time I Saw You, No Frauds, and We Go Up. That's a hit 40-track compilation project right there. Then she could've gone back to the drawing board and started from scratch, because nothing here met the level I expected her to reach, in terms of writing, samples, or overall production value. I expected cohesion. J. Cole was a BIG get (finally!), and it was nice to see Drake on the tracklist, but there were no jaw-dropping moments. I expected Kendrick, Ariana, Bey/Rih, Taylor, Lauryn Hill, and maybe even Jay-Z & Adele. The careless sampling irked me the most, and reminded me of Coi Leray's last album, especially with that Billie record. Somehow that "Pink Friday Girls" record reminded me of this cheesy gem: Spoiler I guess LLC and Chun Swae / Chun Li will remain her most recent, five-star amazing songs. Until next time. Danny789 Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Instead of LTISY we should’ve gotten Just the Memories and a MV with clips of the last 16 years 3

The beat selection was pretty interesting though. Lots of clean production cause Queen and PinkPrint had some questionable choices mixed in. This felt more clean from top to bottom. However I just think it needed to be tightened more. She needs an executive producer like Timbaland/Pharrell/Max Martin or something who are known for spearheading really tight knit albums. I actually think this album would have been better as just the physical copy with 10 tracks. 1
ATRL Moderator Oxygen Posted December 8, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted December 8, 2023 Listening now and so far not a single song has grabbed me
Konril Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 The whiplash I got from Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Super Freak and now Heart of Glass samples. It's like the sound of the "Listen to the Classics Remix Playlist".

ANG3L Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 ***** Nicki Hendrix being basically a Future song
ATRL Moderator Oxygen Posted December 8, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted December 8, 2023 Yeah this album is a chop 1 1
Konril Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Your Love can really slot into this album with ease, Pink Friday 2 indeed.
Great808 Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Ok so this isn’t a BAD album, but it could definitely had been a lot better. This was her chance to make something very very solid and impactful and she just went in and chose cool and fun beats to rap over. The samples also drag it down. Just way too many samples. 1

toast Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Loved 12 out of the 22 on first listen, which includes me coming around on LTISY. Pink Friday Girls could be a smash, Cowgirl could do well on TikTok, Big Difference is my personal fav (only because Beep Beep is so short). Overall I liked it, but it could be 4 or 5 tracks shorter. Also worth saying that I'm glad she added some of the songs that didn't make it on the physical version.
