liquiddiamonds Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 (edited) She’s doing 280k this week with a quickie midnights re-release. I think it’s safe to say she will clear 500k for this release with vinyls. It all depends on the week rollout. If she has good vault tracks and if Enchanted gets traction and a good video just like ATW10 she could outdo RedTV. At this point Enchanted is a bigger fan favorite than ATW ever was. She’s not beating Midnights. It’s not a brand new album Edited June 4, 2023 by liquiddiamonds
GentleDance Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 Why are yall predicting this to do more than Red TV?

Klein Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 More than Red TV, yes. More than Midnights, definitely not, not even close. I expect Speak Now TV to land around 700k. That might seem like a lot, but at the same time, the pre-orders for the vinyl are already better than Red TV's first week vinyl if i'm not mistaken (or very close anyway), so I'm sure she will do at least as good as Red TV's pure sales. Then for streaming sure SNTV has less tracks than RTV, but Taylor's current streaming power is eons better than what it was for RTV's release, so I think the numbers will be just as good if not better too.

For whatever reason, the GP seems to have been tuning out the new music after the Morgan Wallen album release, and are instead content with streaming years-old songs like Sunflower and Heat Waves. The landscape where Midnights just did almost 300k with a lazy deluxe? Nobody has released, that's why nothing has done well. In the 800k range seems realistic for Speak Now. Her first weeks still have massive pure sales

Nothing major has released and old songs have always had presence on streaming - that’s not a current thing. I’d say 500k easily.

MidnightsAtPeace Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 she's definitely outdoing red tv with speak now, that's for sure, but I don't see it pulling the same numbers midnights did. i'm pretty sure an impressive 650-800k debut is already secured

Rayaine Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 anything greater than Red TV would be impressive in my books >>>
Peak Now Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I think precisely because the OG Speak Now was a flop less commercially successful and impactful album than Fearless or Red and is most forgotten by everyone not in the fandom, the GP might treat it as a "new" album. I don't think it'll surpass the original first week sales (1.05M) thanks to streaming, but it might come pretty close and will almost certainly outdo Red TV.
