But people said that voting for third party candidates in 2016 and 2020 was bad and everyone who isn't a Republican should then be a Democrat.

Do you not want people to be Democrats?

So not voting for Democrats IS fine?

I see what you did...

I am talking about people running for office... not the people doing the voting.

I think only democrats should be democratic candidates.

I think republicans, independents & democrats should all vote democrats.

So someone who votes for and is a registered Democrat can't be a Democrat? Huh?

?????????????????????

Must be a typo somewhere or I'm too slow for you.

Assuming you meant: "So someone who votes for and is NOT a registered Democrat can't be a Democrat?"

My answer is correct!

I think that someone who always voted & identified as a democrat should have priority over a Fairweather democrat.

I am not sure what's not clicking.

Maybe it's the fact that she 1st ran as an independent in 2014 or the fact that she has endorsed multiple independent candidates against democrats over the years :coffee:

They wanna trash democrat 3 years out of 4 and then pretend to be democrats when comes elections time. :rip:

Go form your own party lady Williamson, we're rocking with Biden... a real lifetime democrat. :gaycat2:

Are you... serious?

Independents are among the most important voting blocks for the two parties. Trump himself was a Democrat for decades before he ran for President, so... maybe you shouldn't be denigrating anyone about prior affiliation. Especially with how the two parties make it near impossible to participate as a third party candidate.

And... Biden of all people, a man who literally supported bus segregation and war on drugs not even three decades ago? The same "Democrat" who forced unionized rail workers to work despite the work conditions? That Biden? :lmao:

Marianne Williamson is a registered Democrat. That's how she's running in the Democratic primary.

So who won the black vote again in the democratic primary?

If black voters are cool with him, progressives need to let it go.

The war on drug is very needed. The addiction is out of control.

Life expectancy is now going down in the US mostly due to record high drug overdose.

One of my coworker just lost his 30 year old nephew to a freaking phytanyl overdose.

Yall love drug legalization just so you can blame our healthcare system for the bad result on our health.

Ain't it my point?

She is now.

So yea, I'd go with the lifetime democrat over the "turn coat" who just became a democrat right in time for electoral season.

Do you know of a woman named India Walton and what happened after she won her democratic primary? :celestial5:

First again, black voters are more indicative of a propagandic era where "War on Drugs" was designed to pivot poor people into prisons.

War on Drugs was nothing more than a manufactured crisis designed to populate PRIVATE FOR PROFIT prisons that to this day... still exist. Wanna know the most common reason for that? Marijuana. A drug designated as a C1 substance (meaning it is considered to have no medicinal application despite the evidence to the contrary) that makes it illegal and a felony.  The problem here as you might see is that science has always supported the evidence that marijuana has more medical uses than any substantial bad ones and yet we have 25% of the world's prison population mostly on that possession charge.

To your third sentence, I'm truly sorry for their loss because fentanyl is a street problem that dates back years and it is more commonly laced with coke/heroin/meth. Why is that an issue? Because the core problem is how our health care system allows providers to prescribe powerful C2/C3 drugs for pain management and as a result when they're forced to be weaned off... turn to the street for an alternative answer to pain. Fentanyl is a recent phenomenon because of how cheap it is to produce and it allows "dealers" to stretch their supplies further by using less in their production.

Addiction is a mental health issue that has yet to be taken seriously. I would know because I'm a former meth addict and I have lived that system. It is a system that allows so many to fall through the cracks and it refused to help those who need it because "money" doesn't see the value in fighting addiction. I care about DECRIMINALIZATION (which is a different kind of topic if you can understand) because it does not punish someone for possession but allows the system to approach the situation with a mental health mindset. Rather than criminalize behavior, our health care system can do better by funding more in rehabilitation programs. Instead, we're at this point in life where I'm hearing you bleat a Republican talking point about "poor choices lead to poor health", poor health leads to poor choices because money determines your path in life.

@xDiamondx

I am a black voter and I do understand that Reagan did everything he can to disenfranchise us. But just because the reason for starting it was shady does not make a real & fair war on drug any less needed.

I agree with the recent easing on marijuana law. I don't think people should go to jail over this. I think only edible should be allowed tho. Smoking tree should be taxed to the heaven for the risk of cancer and the pressure that it causes on our healthcare system..

Dealers of all the other drugs tho: lock them up & throw the keys away for good: Molly, Coke, Tina, Lean.... All those dealers should get life in prison without the possibility of parole. (Start with JayZ &50cent)

I don't want to be offensive. I understand the truth & struggle of people dealing with metal health issues. Sadly tho' lots of people are now using mental health an excuse for everything. From my own personal observation around me, more people have mental issues as a result of drug use rather than the other way around.
