Lost In Paradise Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Spinnin - Sweet Relief - Envy the Leaves - 17 is an EXPERIENCE
tbhmatt Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 On my second listen and ‘At Your Worst’ really stands out as a highlight for me. It’s a beautiful song, I think this one has potential to be a hit going in to fall/winter. I know that Sweet Relief is the obvious choice, but I’d really love this song to get its moment. I know you got your reasons you got your demons Just beautiful.
Mydilemma2.0 Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I am now listening to the album, her previous album was Mah but had one of the best songs of 2018 (Good in Goodbyes). I didn't hear any single prior to now, so ill say my thoughts soon.
Uncatena Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 this is actually quite good but fades into the background after a while. needed more variation.
inyourarea Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 It took me a couple of listens to get used to the sound but overall I like the album! I personally prefer Madison with more Tame Impala type of production (Envy The Leaves outro for example), though I do like this 60's inspired sound for her as well. FAVS: 17, Nothing Matters But You & Silence Between Songs I will say I am a little bitter At Your Worst made the cut and Blood On Your Shoes or What Love Means didn't. Personally think both are miles better but that's just my opinion, Hopefully, she can tack them on for the DLX even though they've surfaced online.
DuffStan Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 So cohesive, almost a concept album? I loveee the early Lana vibes, she took them & created her own universe on this record
Musicmajor Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Just finished my first listened and i do agree its a lot more cohesive sounding and she made a great project. The vibe just is not for me, so i cannot see myself going back to this as much as I did with her first record.
AcidPrince Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I love Madison but this album is boring. I expected a lot more. The production, sadly, gets repetitive after 5 songs. At your worst is cute al least 1
VeniceBeach Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Madison Beer tells 'Variety' that Lana Del Rey loved her new album and that her favorite tracks are “Ryder” and “Spinnin.” Taste or nah?
houndsoflove Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 she really excels at these more mellow/mid-tempo/somber songs with her voice. oh GODISON you can do no wrong
XxxKatyCatxxX Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I LOVE THIS ALBUM! The way they twisted retro and modern sounds, amazing!
Scandalous Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 very solid and will be a grower with more listens it definitely could've benefited from a few more upbeat songs, but i read her memoir recently where she said she grew up wanting to sing ballads so it makes sense the majority of her stuff from here moving forward will be slower
DancingShoes Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I definitely think this will be a grower. Envy The Leaves and Ryder made me tear me up. I like that she seems to have found an avenue that she loves and her vocals sound great on here.

This blend of folksy whimsy with techno undertones really carves out a lane for her I didn’t think she was capable of? Admittedly I’ve never really paid much attention to her output, as I’ve always found most of her previous releases as basic and uninspired, but this is… genuinely great. She really has an opportunity here to create space for herself in a saturated pop market. If she commits and continues to evolve with this sound I think she’s on to a winner. My thoughts exactly. As an OG fan, I’m extremely proud of her artist growth and commitment to the path she’s paving for herself. An amazing body of work that will only age like fine wine
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted September 15, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted September 15, 2023 Damn the lead single was good but the rest is just … it felt like very poor cosplay

And cosplay who she really carved out her own identity with this record officially

WOW. what a way to open up your album
Cottonmouth Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I'm not sure how I feel. It's cute I guess. I probably need more time with it. Nothing really caught my attention apart from Sweet Relief and Home To Another One. I definitely prefer Life Support on initial listen. Home To Another One remains one of the best songs of the year though and the best song in her discography!
Julia Fox Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 The title track why nobody is praising that masterpiece. 17, Envy The Leaves, Ryder, Sweet Relief, Spinning, You Showed Me and Home are my faves. The others are cute but I’m gonna need more time with them 1
smoore95GAGA Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Loved her debut but I’m sorry, this was just remarkably boring for me
