Bloodflowers. Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Typical cliché corporate news talking points and smears from MSNBC's host Mehdi Hassan, but Marianne gave best replies to each and every reductive smear question! Mother Marianne rising at the polls got them shook a lot 1
thetea Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 i really like her. i agree with most of her stances on things and she's great at wording her sentences. she always makes such strong points, she'd make a great president. it's still crazy that the USA hasn't had a female president, my country has had elected female prime ministers since 1999.
Vroom Vroom Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 She should run for Feinstein‘s seat or a seat in the house. She could be a star but these failed presidential runs are doing nothing for her or the country. Congress desperately needs more progressive members

Congress desperately needs more progressive members She ran for the House in 2014 against Ted Lieu but did so as an independent. She likely didn't eye the Senate because she supports Barbara Lee's campaign. It'd probably be much more difficult for her now as, from what I can see, her home has been re-districted to the same district as Pete Aguilar, who now represents District 33 and is part of the House Democratic Caucus leadership. Even if it were still Ted Lieu, it'd still be much more difficult for her now than then due to the fact that he's a #ResistanceLib hero because of his sassy anti-Trump quips on MSNBC. The more a Dem tells their constituents that the only thing wrong with American politics is that Donald Trump is "literally a Russian agent on Putin's payroll," the better off they always will be.

She could move to a nearby, less competitive, district. Others have done it in the past
