Cryptique Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 https://twitter.com/ThePopTingz/status/1663425820239470597?s=20 Accdg to Nick Cannon.. he'd rather attend a Bruno Mars show than a Beyonce or Taylor Swift concert. A pov from America? imagine the gap GLOBALLY
Cotton Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Bruno might have a bigger amount of smashes but Beyoncé definitely has more hits than him overall in the US. 1
Kristie Kuwa Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 A straight man wanting to rather attend Bruno Mars than Taylor or Beyonce? Truly shocking and newsworthy
Moonlight Nation Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) Wasn't Nick Cannon the one who kept insisting he wanted to invite Taylor Swift to his radio show so they could 'connect' with the end goal he'd get baby n° 13 with her? Interesting how the tables have turned. OT: Depends on the different demographics, though it is undeniably impressive how Bruno has achieved so many certified smash hits despite only having four albums to his name. All three are insanely talented and earned their success, but Bruno, not having much of a devoted fanbase in the first place, doesn't have the hyped overall discography and passion for non-singles that Taylor and Beyoncé get (even though "Talking To The Moon", "Runaway Baby" and "Count On Me" from his debut are surprisingly well-known by the general public). It's a cringe outrage-bait statement that shouldn't be bothered with. I for one would love to attend the concerts of all three. Edited May 30, 2023 by Moonlight Nation 1

BEY's or TAY's are maybe popular among their bases?
Devin Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 He does have a point, Bruno has more standout and popular hits.

alejandreaux Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 from what I’ve observed over the years, when someone in the GP talks about a “hit”, it doesn’t really have much to do with the actual charts. it usually just refers to a song that they personally like a lot and that has affected their lives prominently, whether the song made an impact on society overall or not. so what this translates to is that there’s more Bruno Mars songs in his playlist that he personally likes vs. Beyoncé or Taylor songs, which makes sense because he is a heterosexual male.
Underdogs Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 And what about it? Bruno arguably has more recognizable hits than most pop girls.
StarsAllAligned Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Being unbiased, I can name more undeniable hits off the top of my head for Bruno than I can for the other two, though it’s not by a crazy amount. The argument is valid
Jonver Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) it's true, bruno has alot smash hits, the only female artist that has more it's rihanna Edited May 30, 2023 by Jonver 1
Vrx. Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) Bruno has 4 diamond singles and has a crazy amount of certifications edit: Mess it’s 6 Edited May 30, 2023 by Vrx.
est. in 90s Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Can anyone name a Nick Cannon song without using Google?

vale9001 Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Bruno Mars doesn't even has more hits than Jason Derulo, just think Beyoncè or Taylor Swift. He has like 4-5 very big hits, Beyoncè and Taylor have a catalog of hits. Not only 14x platinum songs are hit. A 5xp song is a hit too.

ariesgroove Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) i mean yeah, bruno’s essentially the male rihanna, no one is touching him when it comes to hits. my thing is why is he talking about beyoncé and taylor like they’re some underground indie artists Edited May 30, 2023 by ariesgroove

I find Jason to be tremendously overhated and he has a fair share of great bops, but please... Bruno has ten songs with over 1B streams on Spotify ("Uptown Funk!", "That's What I Like", "When I Was Your Man", "Just The Way You Are", "Locked Out Of Heaven", "24K Magic", "Young, Wild & Free", "Leave The Door Open", non-single "Talking To The Moon", and "Grenade"), eight #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 (none being front-loaded debuts with little longevity), 5 UK #1s, and six Diamond-certified singles by the RIAA. And that's keeping in mind he only has four studio albums - less than half of both Taylor and Beyoncé's total tally. Nick Cannon was dumb for making a statement so heavily connected to different listening audiences, but Bruno is a certified hitmaker and one of the most successful of our generation. No need to put him down to uplift Taylor and Beyoncé - their accolades speak for themselves as well.
MaxMartin Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Bruno wished he had the base Taylor & bey have. Yeah he has hits but core fans honey? that's lacking.
