elevate Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 See, now, when you do talentry... Also, they're hot, so.
Taylena Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Not them outselling Midnights and 30 sales combined with just preorders.

aesthetic bih Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 That's actually INSANE! That's more than BTS right?

jqnetto Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 oh wow! Impressive numbers. they're come a long way since being labeled big 3's biggest failure. 1

WeFoundWill Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 #179 Spotify debut incoming (and no the asian streaming platform stats won't be in their favor either)

I think at least half of the top 10 IFPI artists of 2023 will be Kpop acts for sure. SKZ, SVT, BTS (even on hiatus) and some others guaranteed for sure. These sales alone could take SKZ to the top 3.

I wasn’t trying to come off as aggressive though But anyways yes this is HUGE. Kpop acts are going to be taking up many slots on the global artists list. I wonder if SKZ or SVT will top BTS this year.
The Music Industry Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 There is something seriously fishy about just how fast the K-pop pure sales market keeps growing for some acts. Stray Kids is absolutely irrelevant in Korea and in most of Asia, and a non-event in both Europe and North America. They have a decent-sized fanbase in China (absolutely nothing compared to big artists) but definitely not big enough to justify 5M preorders. It has always been a mystery to me where all their sales actually come from.
