He's long been an outlier amongst the rest of the GOP. Pro choice, pro-LGBTQ+ rights, and pro-gun control. Vermont voters would not tolerate anything less than that (Vermont honestly seems like one of the best states in this shithole country).

You’ll also be shocked that he’s been their governor for many years and wins by a landslide everytime he’s up for election (Vermont gubernatorial elections are every 2 years instead of the usual 4 for almost every other state)

Yes, since lots of people in the U.S. aren't on board. We need to celebrate people when they support human rights and criticize people when they undermine human rights. It's more effective when we do both instead of just one. It's also exhausting to only read bad news.

The two senators from Vermont - Bernie Sanders & Peter Welch - are the most progressive in the country.
