supertiffany Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Michael Jackson #1 ALL TIME Adele #1 THIS CENTURY 7
Kh-Loud Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 A certain stanbase said their fave is bigger than Michael Jackson and The Beatle. Where’s their fave? 2 1 2

suburbannature Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Of course it’s ChartMasters and their (self-admitted) imaginary numbers 5 1
MotoPapi Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Wow Madonna the biggest female im sorry but who in the world is Simon & Garfunkel? I’ve literally never heard of them but they must have been a huge deal if they’re after Madonna
byzantium Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 This feels a lot like that one thread which went through obtuse equations to argue that Rihanna actually didn’t have the most watched halftime show. 1
RobynYoBank Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 It took MJD a decade to figure out an imaginary formula that would put MJ above The Beatles 6

Cruel Summer Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 So this is just... making up special snowflake points to give to artists with less albums than others? Like at least EAS/CSPC/units etc make sense and are founded upon the idea of accounting for the revenue each format generates - this is just some guy pulling literally nothing from his rear and calling it a chart. Mediatraffic teas! 1
anastasha Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 I thought Rihanna was the best-selling artist that emerged in this century... What a BS way to measure success, seems like a stan list based on what the person wants.
robbyds Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 ASR? Goodness! They really have to shutdown that page.

Assuming singles sales and album sales are equal and calling it records sales is one of the of the biggest scam. Rihanna has sold the most singles but no where near best selling when you factor in album sales using the spa formula not the 1 album plus 1 single equals 2 records sales approach
DemDam92 Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 Just another list based on delusional and very individual points counting and formula

Rihanna has sold the most singles but no where near best selling when you factor in album sales using the spa formula not the 1 album plus 1 single equals 2 records sales approach Pretty sure she's up there (among the best selling artists from this century) even with this method lol. Literally only few artists from this century have sold more albums than she has, other than Adele and Taylor she's sold similar to Gaga and Bey (for female artists). OT: I don't know why people get mad every time when we know all these methods and formulas don't mean much. Stans love chartmasters when their formula favours their faves and hate them when they don't. When stans learn to accept these methods as simple measures for success and not the end-all of them the better. Edited May 27, 2023 by lonnie
