Joe just seemed stagnant and distant and Taylor gave up alot for him but nobody is a bad person, they just grew apart like some couples do it's normal 

no this means they became distant and the love ended, and taylor has her lacks in the relationship too, this means joe alwyn could write a song too where he talks about the same defects she's talking about tand how his expectation about the relationship were failed from her too...this means Taylor is now mature and an adult and she talks about her weakness and her bad attitude too instead of just "i'm a victim and you're bad...never ever together like ever"....this means her fans should stop to be stuck in 2012 too  with "he was a very mean man" after every break up.

This whole thing makes sense. If she released it online everywhere it would gain a lot of attention because its obvioisly about the breakup. But this way she gets to adress it and let her fans know how she feels without the media craziness

Agreed. At least it goes somewhere by the end, but this feels like a draft she wrote and recorded in a few hours. Probably should have kept it to herself, then edited it a bit before keeping the best bits for a future song.

For me, this is only getting better. I listened to it on repeat while out running errands today. The simplicity of the production does wonders and the vocoder effect evokes a sense of distance, especially paired with the actual lyric "you're losing me." I think it'll grow on people.

The "And I wouldn’t marry me either, a pathological people-pleaser" seems to be things he told her. And everything else screams indecision.
