One of her saddest lyrics that automatically make it one of my favourites

Some of her saddest lyrics! I absolutely love this :jonny6:

This has got to be up there with Hoax as one of her saddest songs. Lyrically, I’m in love with it. Production wise, I like it but don’t love that aspect as much. I feel like if this got the production Hoax did, it would hit so much harder. Maybe she’ll release that version next. :eli:

This song makes me feel so bad for her, though. :weeps:

Great song

Someone uploaded it on YT and when I wanted to replay it, UMG took it down :chick3:

Joe appeared to be someone very serious and composed. I don't understand what happened. Why didn't he want to marry her? Could it be that he was afraid of Taylor's fame? Or maybe he didn't love her enough to commit for a lifetime? :emofish:

Such a gorgeous, layered production :jonnycat: Taylor, never stop working with Jack Antongod please

The song is perfect and I am glad she finally told her side of the story

Spoiler

Joe should be ashamed of himself for his uncouth conduct

I don’t think Joe is a bad person, and it doesn’t even seem like Taylor is making him out to be one, either. But if we read into what she’s implied, it seems like he was just okay to be rather complacent and have her uproot things and make compromises for him, but he wasn’t willing to do more on his end. That hurts in general, but it must really hurt that after 6.5 years with someone they essentially aren’t willing to give any more in return.

One of her most raw and honest songs ever :cries:

This sort of despondent sad is more crushing than the big hitters like ATW10

Insanely heart-shattering, the best new song.

This is SOTY for me.

So so great. I mean Right where you left me great.

Its so heartbreaking, the lyrics. I think she write this after midnights was released

If she really wrote this for midnights. Why the hell she keeps gatekeep these amazing songs from us? This girl have issue picking songs for album and picking singles.

This is top 5 on midnights for sure and still a grower.

I hate her so much.

That's supposed to be some bad thing as if she's not human? Those aren't even the worst qualities one can have.

Joe just seemed stagnant and distant and Taylor gave up alot for him but nobody is a bad person, they just grew apart like some couples do it's normal

Does the official version of this song has that tiny little bit of Karma at the end? Because every single version I've got has that and it's annoying af :rip:

Other than that, amazing song. It's like You're On Your Own Kid on xanax

The way she always find a new creative way to decribe usual things.

Like compare heart failure to losing a relationship is so simple but so effective. And the execution is perfect. Truly a gifted songwriter.

TS11 will be devastated.

The only mp3 that's floating around was from a recording of the CD being played, they didn't cut it off at the right time

Someone recorded it from the car radio :ahh:

And somehow, the quality is still good enough.
