Rep2000 Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Gaga's impact is whatever The Weeknd is doing right now on his press tour.
Badgalbriel Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Getting the entire industry dressing up like her during her first few years is more impact than most other girls will ever have. 9 1
jesus del rey Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 You can ask the new generation of pop stars about her impact such as Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, etc. The list goes on. 4

OreGuy Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Literally the reason pop became mainstream again thus creating all your faves. Bringing back politics to music in this generation. Visuals, everywhere, video/tours/performances/carpets. the list goes on. 2 1
Solaria Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 I think a point that hasn’t been brought up yet is her versatility, it has encouraged other artists to explore new genres and sounds as well, such as the mini country boom that we had with Kesha and Justin Timberlake after Joanne. And even Taylor has acknowledged being inspired by how much Gaga pivots in the industry: Quote Taylor Swift has praised Lady Gaga and her career versatility. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the 29-year-old pop icon, who presented Gaga with a Golden Globe for "Shallow" in January, shared that she admires her ability to "be so capable in so many different worlds." "When people think she’s gonna go one way, she goes the exact opposite," Taylor said. "She did that Tony Bennett record and won a Grammy. And then she pivots and goes and wins a Golden Globe for American Horror Story: Hotel. Then she pivots and does Joanne. Then she pivots and wins an Oscar for A Star Is Born. That’s so cool, that ability to be so capable in so many different worlds. There’s so much dexterity to her career." 5

FailSafe Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 (edited) She put POP back in the mainstream. She put FASHION back in pop culture moments. She's the reason why your faves serve visuals again in music videos. In short, she is the reason why your faves step up their game. Edited May 26, 2023 by FailSafe 2

I don't know about that... Lady Gaga debuted in 2008 and we literally had Katy, Britney, Beyonce smashing at that time too. Like even before Gaga in 2007, pop was doing well with hits like Gimme More. 20 minutes ago, FolkLover1989 said: Visual Game : Madonna , Janet and Britney Do you mean that Gaga had an impact on Madonna, Janet, Britney's music videos? I'm so confused cause Britney's 2008-2011 era was so mid when it comes to visuals etc, there's nothing special about it. 8 minutes ago, Love Again said: I think a point that hasn’t been brought up yet is her versatility, it has encouraged other artists to explore new genres and sounds as well, such as the mini country boom that we had with Kesha and Justin Timberlake after Joanne. alejandreaux Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 “Lady Gaga practically invented the current era of pop music as spectacle, one that’s become an escalating arms race of self-conscious oddity.“ - TIME Magazine “Thriller” had a massive impact on the pop universe, but its interest in the grotesque wasn’t fully adopted by the genre until decades later. Between 2008 and 2011, a few key events redefined the pop star image—many executed by Lady Gaga and her creative team.” - Pitchfork Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” changed political pop forever (ARTICLE) - The Atlantic How Lady Gaga reshaped the music world with her image (ARTICLE) - NME just some quotes and articles from the top of my head. 39 minutes ago, jesus del rey said: You can ask the new generation of pop stars about her impact such as Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, etc. The list goes on. also this! 3 1 1

I don't see how she put those things back, sorry, I mean she probably inspired Nicki Minaj in the early 2010s with her crazy outfits but the 2000s were always over the top long before Gaga and I don't see how her crazy outfits, visuals etc impacted Beyonce, Britney and other artists that were smashing at that time. True, Katy was wearing some crazy sh/t like Gaga but it's hard to say she impacted her when they both debuted the same year 2 minutes ago, getBusy said: The meat dress What impact does it have?

Infernal Paradise Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Why don't you just spend 5 secs googling this instead of aggressively quoting and disagreeing with everyone who posts what YOU yourself asked for and/or embarrassingly hiding threads when they backfire dear Britney stan? 9 1 2
WEEKND Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 She’s an extremely talented girl who goes out of her way to support the lgbt community. She’s also kind of a theatre kid and a lot of people respond well to that. She seems kind and respect the legends that came before her. her art might not be perfect but her mic is ALWAYS on and u can count on her to give u an honest and raw performance. those qualities will stand the test of time and that’s why she’s got a great reputation in the academy. now I’m not shading anybody but the people on here who stan “singers” who press play on a cd player and call it a day should keep it cute n mute 6
Mystic Boy Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 You wouldn't understand OP seeing who you stan for
