I went into my local Target this morning and the Pride section was practically empty in the front. They moved it towards the back by the clearance/dressing rooms

The recent developments in this country since 2016 is disturbing to say the least...you can't just say that conservatives are leading this anti-LGBT movement we're seeing, they just happen to be the loudest in the room. You're seeing rights being stripped across the world and I really do worry for all my LGBT brethren. I want to hear more about the coalitions taking shape across the USA that are confronting these these politicians and their donors to not only expose, but to also vote them out of office.

Once Black People-Latinos in the States start to lose all their rights i think things will get real bad and it will lead to some sort of civil war.

Honestly this. I'm a blue dot in an extremely right wing area and the new "hot topic" to hate is the LGBTQ community now that they cannot harass abortion clinics. Fox News, Newsmax, and conservative influencers are constantly covering transgender topics every top of the hour/every youtube video. It's not painting them in a good light either. It's fear-mongering type stories - "They're coming for your sports" "They're coming for your kids" "They're coming for your school curriculum" ....etc.  It doesn't help Thomas' dissent last year when Roe v. Wade was overturned that he wanted to look back into other cases, especially Obergefell v. Hodges. That was almost like a dog whistle from them to start on a new subject to harass because so many people never though Roe could be overturned and now they have a green light that other cases can be overturned as well. Ron DeSantis literally did an interview this week talking about he can see 3-4 justices retiring/dying soon and he could fill those seats with conservative young judges.

You think Democrats care about black people? They're <15% of the population and are a guaranteed blue vote no matter who or what. They're genuinely taken for granted the most, and Democrats tailor crime policies to keep them in jail. Joe Biden's Crime Bill and his refusal to take steps towards legalizing marijuana is proof of that. Latinos were completely discounted by Joe Biden as not being part of his path to victory and him writing them off has led to Democrats permanently losing Florida. Joe Biden is locking them in cages and separating families at the border in his continuation of Trump and Obama's immigration policies and there has been ZERO outcry.

 

There will be no civil war over black people or Latinos either.

It has not taken on any “radical appearance.”  LGBTQ+ are literally just more visible now. That is enough to cause these hateful bigots to short circuit.

So untrue. They still hate gays, they just cannot attack them yet fully because they have more legal protections that’s trans do not have. Once they are done with trans people they’ll come after the gays by removing marriage and their legal rights.
