It’s kind of wild that even with all of Taylor’s success Morgan comes strolling along and just unseats her with such ease.

His albums always have like 50 songs :deadbanana4: it makes them impossible to die off

Granted the TV albums also have extensively long track lists but his is just severe

I prefer her millions of actual sales and huge touring numbers

But there was a sticky saying to cutback on threads with Taylor's name, idk if this thread is needed

It’s wild how popular he is with the general public.

He isn't unseating her and never will

The amounts of singles he pushed. Taylor doesn't do even half of it. With Taylor before Midnights it was just 1 week eras

Insanity.

If you’re upset about his album lengths, maybe instead compare total number of songs :michael: since in the streaming age albums are the same as playlists. Across his two albums released this decade, I count 69 songs eligible to be converted into SEA. How does that compare to other top artists of today?

Singles released this decade:

35 songs per album is long even for a Dua Lipa playlist album. Most are still between 10-20 songs.

This ain’t true :rip: Idk about Morgan’s number (nor am I even arguing for or against whether his numbers are boosted by singles or not) but Taylor’s singles since 2020 have been:

The Man

cardigan

willow

ATW10 MAYBE but not really

I Bet You Think about me BARELY but also not really

Anti Hero

Lavender Haze

Bejeweled no but I’ll count it just for you

Karma

that’s 9 (not 12) and 3 of these 9 aren’t even singles in the way we traditionally identify them. Not even sure where you’re getting the additional 3 when I had to stretch just to get to 9 from the actual number which is 6.

Oh maybe the difference here is Taylor's album only have one or two single worthy songs? Whereas with Morgans albums, every song is single worthy👌

And also artists tend to release follow up singles only if the lead is clicking with the GP. If they just stop after the lead, it must mean the demand isn't there.

Just by Wikipedia. Went to the albums released since 2020 and counted the singles listed by that website. Missed The Man, though, so that makes 13.

Wikipedia lists Exile release date as August 3, 2020.

Taylor’s version of Love Story has a release date of February 12, 2021. The remix has a release date of March 26, 2021.

I see now your objection to Wikipedia’s classification of Exile as a single since it was only released to one radio format. However, the same can be said for at least one of Morgan’s singles (You Proof was only sent to country radio). I haven’t checked his others, but I think I agree with Wikipedia here. Sending a song to radio is like the definition of what a single is, in my opinion of course

It was send to AAA with 1m audience so that it can qualify for Grammys

You proof was send to radio with 40m+ audience. You really trying atp

LS was not even pushed to radio. They just changed the previous version with new version

Soon you will say even IKYWT TV is single cause it keeps on coming back to radio charts :rip:

Ok, you’re right. Those releases have done nothing to promote their parent projects. Consumers must be checking out her albums for other reasons since it’s not due to hearing and enjoying her music. Often self written music at that
