The requirement is merely that it has to be danceable, follow a pop arrangement, and have electronic instrumentation as opposed to being straight-up electropop, so I would think it qualifies. I think they just created the category because of the controversy behind how often the screening committee in the Dance category blocked pop stars after Gaga and Rihanna won, so I'm not sure it'll be super strict this time around

Well, it's stable but it already reached its peak almost everywhere so updating on that would be just watching how it slowly decreases

I agree in how she can do better than this, but the song is catchy and the GP loves it so it worked in the end. Also, it's just a soundtrack song, only like 1 out of 100 soundtrack songs smash nowadays so it's good they played it safe and didn't try too hard for this one.
