I think he says it because the song will be in a "relevant" part of the movie like the One Republic song in Top Gun. I guess that will be the biggest promo of the song since I doubt she will perform it anywhere

So after sitting with this for a few days I found that it’s not a bad or even mediocre song at all

 

However it’s totally fine that people are disappointed by her releasing something that could essentially be an FN leftover 3 years after the album release (and I’m one of those people). I totally get it’s for the movie and everything, but as a stan I want to hear the progression that I know she’s been working on

 

Hopefully DL3 comes sooner rather than later
