the remix came out in 2010, which was release in 2010 (and I mentioned that in my earlier comment)

The version of Dog Days used in Guardians is the original released in 2008.

:alexz: still such an immaculate song. The first time I heard Dog Days, I was transfixed. It's one of those transformative pieces of art. Looking back, I think F+TM high-key started my interest in art rock/pop music and the array of artists across those genres, especially the female artists.

It’s previous peak was #23 in January 2010 :jonny:

The fact that it's never hit the top 20 :deadbanana2: such a classic

3x Platinum :alexz2:

They messed up by saying this came out in the 2000s in the movie even though the remix wasn't released till 2010.

Nah. The original was like 2008 or something. Theta re right.

I would love this song to finally have its moment. It should’ve been a huge hit after it was used in Glee in the early 10s but I think radio largely ignored it due to be pop radio being completely engulfed  in generic dated EDM hits at the time.

This used to be everywhere in 2010, Happy it's getting a bit of a comeback.

Its so funny to me that both of it's peaks in the UK are because of needledrops, Guardians now and ads for the tv premiere of Slumdog Millionaire in 2010.

I dont get the comments here. It was a major hit back then, especially for an alternative song. The peaks are not reflective of how warmly received it was. It just didn’t explode like EDM of the time, but Flo and the machine were the biggest thing in indie music for a couple of years. Lungs is 2x Platinum in the US on the strength of this song and was the biggest thing in the UK before Adele dropped 21

Love this for mother but I'd rather have any other song from her go viral instead of this one :dies:

When As Far As I Could Get goes viral and she's forced to add it to Spotify :jonnycat:

Florence didn't really break through in the UK until Rabbit Heart & You've Got The Love.  Dog Days peaked at 89 before that and it was only rereleased in 2010 in the UK after being used in Eat Pray Love and Slumdog Millionaire where it reached its previous peak of 23.  Until this new peak in the UK recently, the US actually had a higher peak for Dog Days and now they both share the peak of #21.
