me + 2 people but nobody does the pronoun bs, just doesnt work in our language. All three of us use all pronouns with 1 preferring she/her

I know quite a few but answered 1-5 as that’s the amount I have at least a semi close relationship with.

I always find it surprising that people don’t know any NB/trans people.  I guess that’s my Southern California bubble.  I work in an office and everyone puts their pronouns in their email signature.  It’s so normal.

Same, I was surprised at the responses

I guess that’s why conservatives hate California so much :rip:

OP, have you polled all 2,000,000 people in your city? Just because you do not know any, does not mean none exist.

It is not an American thing as much as it is a young person thing. If you are not young yourself and / or you do not associate with a lot of young people, it would make sense you do not know any.

I personally do not know any one with cancer, but I do know cancer exists.

Demi, Halsey, Sam Smith and Kehlani. That makes 4.

Jk now answering your question, 0. I don't live in a big city anyway, and 95% of my friends are straight, so it's normal. I know people who have non-binary friends though, so I know it's quite common.

No one. I live in southern Louisiana, though, so they're probably just not saying anything if they are. They'd face more resistance from people than not, to the point where I'm not sure it'd even be worth it to say anything. People out here, generally speaking, can be terribly ignorant and dismissive, even through the so-called "Southern hospitality."

Strictly speaking, zero I guess, but I do know a cist-het friend/acquaintance who lists in his IG profile that he uses "he/they" pronouns to sneer at the way people treat the LGBT community, and maybe a cousin (born male) who may be facing some questions regarding his gender identity.

(We are Asian, by the way.)
