Disney +/ Hulu removing shows to save costs

You scared me. I thought Toy Story and similar got removed. I don't know a single title from that list so it's fine. :rip:

I would have watched Artemis Fowl:ace: Conversations with friends was really bad, though, so it's fine that they have binned that (if that's the BBC television show). I would have watched the elephants documentary too.

When they remove shows they can use them as tax write-offs. We can expect more of these removals to happen accross all streaming platforms.

What does that mean? How does that work?

I am not a complete expert just read others talk about it, but the gist of it is that if they remove shows they can somehow make them seem as a "loss" on their annual income report and use this to save a bunch of money. However, if they ever bring the show back they will have to pay back the money they saved this way. Which means that once a show is removed, it is extremely unlikely to ever come back

I was today’s years old when I learned they made another Cheaper by the Dozen movie.

Thanks. That’s sad!

The vast majority of these I’ve never heard of or had zero interest in watching. The Runaways (the terrible, bastardized adaptation of the comics) makes sense since it doesn’t fit into the MCU even as an elseworlds/multiverse series. It sucks but I hope it finds a home on another service (even though the series wasn’t very good). The behind the scenes movies/series never really brought them any revenue so why bother hosting these shows/films if it isn’t going to bring viewers?

Nothing I’ve watched or even planned on watching so I’m good but the real question is, when are they finally going to add Brandy & Mr. Whiskers + Dave The Barbarian?
