Why are they surprised? Taylor has never been a vocal activist for anybody but herself aside from that little stint with “You Need To Calm Down” which was just her capitalizing off of pseudo-queer-advocacy for her own profit in the form of a song and video.

 

Taylor has not said a damn word about the recent attacks on the queer community. She was virtually quiet during the BLM protests of 2020. This isn’t a woman who cares to advocate for anybody but herself and her fans either need to accept that or stop supporting her, she’ll date who and do what she wants and eventually her fans just need to accept that Taylor isn’t this “queer potentially gay liberal advocate”. They’ve painted her as one and yet she’s never claimed to be one.
