Thankfully i ordered "Overpowered" LP last week from some random record story in Pennsylvania or something, they still have brand new unopened copies.

What an intricate and magical album! It is meant to be played on vinyl. It is warm, has so much character, not afraid to be silly and quirky, experimental, jazzy, but catchy and dancy. I can tell DJ Koze spent a ton of time on the layered diverse production. It has so much life to it.

What genre is it even? Easily one of the most unique albums I’ve heard

Yeah the vinyl blew me away. You really don’t hear how intricate it is on headphones, or at least the ones I’m using anyway.

one of the best sounding vinyl tbh, good purchase!

I wish there was a booklet with more pics from the era - all the single covers are iconic

Hit Parade purple marble vinyl is stunning - the cardboard thick, the booklet perfect, colorful and ideally matches the album :clap3:

is this album worth listening to? i've heard CooCool, The Universe, and You Knew and didn't like any of them so if the rest of the album is like that too i'm not sure if i'll bother with it

Well, you won't like it. Maybe try with Fader and Free Will.

to say I'm not tempted to listen would be a lie, the universe is amazing, but I just can't rationalize listening with everything that's happened  it's such a shame, I absolutely LOVED overpowered and roisin machine. It's so hard to "separate the art from the artist" when it's something as damaging as this :chick3:

Wishing for someone’s death is generally seen as pretty reprehensible

This album really knocks more and more with each listen, like wow :jonnycat: It’s all I can play for a 3rd day in a row

I don’t like this album at all.
these 70s r&b vocals. The production.

can we get back to the electro pop.

Does Can't Replicate use a direct sample of this? I'm so bad at picking up on these lol, to me they're almost identical, but then again it sounds like it's a staple beat in house music. It would be interesting to see a complete list of samples for Hit Parade, if I'm not mistaken Fader and Free Will also use some?

Why is Free Will sending me into an existential crisis :tornado:
