I've previewed a few songs, and I don't get it. I knew when she first announced this album that she was going to run back to that Hairless/Monto style where the songs are almost shapeless.

I think I'm content with the fact that she gave us one stellar record (Ruby Blue), and it's been diminishing returns ever since.

I’m yet to listen to the album (my vinyl is arriving later today), but I thought CooCool, The Universe, and Fader were all very straightforward and pop-leaning for Róisín’s standards? Either way Hairless Toys is my favourite project from her by far, so if this is any similar I’m sure it will be excellent in my books.

I listened to the album out of curiosity. Glad the profits are going to tackle transphobia. The album is great but that rotted slag can croak.

And if you are a fan, I sincerely hope you can get your hands on a copy of the physical release, as it will doubtless become scarce, and like many of my other records, very collectible.

Why she say that? :rip:

Finally. I will take a shower while giving this a listen. Let's see if there's surprises because what i heard so far was very one dimensional.

She is so shady and I actually live for it, it's a bit refreshing :ahh:

the whole "well....." "I checked" was basically "not on my watch"

oh wow, oh wow, What Not To Do is such an atmospheric, sexy, dark intro, perfect album opener. Very Bjork! Love it!

damn this was very mediocre. first half is boring, second half is fine but her voice in this is so grating and most of the times there's a clear dissociation between whatever is going on with her vocals and the production. I'm glad I didn't like this. :rip:

I'm sorry but CooCool is such an ugly song and it totally ruins the momentum the opener built

They included the 4 singles and the remix of What Not to Do in the Pitchfork Selects playlist, gave her 2 BNT (CooCool and The Universe) and chose Fader as a contender for Song of the Summer. They were giving her a 8.5+ review easily. :toofunny3:

Tried to listen to the album last night but just wasn’t in the headspace for it. My pink copy of the album shipped (I forgot I ordered it, at least I’m supporting a indie record shop). I’ll probably eventually listen in full once the vinyl arrives so I don’t put even a half cent in her or her labels pockets.

I will also only listen to her music on the vinyls I have (no more purchases) here on out.
