how is it over? the deal will still drag anyway and almost for sure won't happen. The CMA has already answered to the EU and literally didn't change their stance in any way.

This only affects gamers.

More context:

Quote

Sony, which owns PlayStation, the market-leading console, warned Microsoft could use ownership of Call of Duty to harm the console market, withholding it from PlayStation or producing a diminished version of it. Microsoft promised not to do that, and offered a deal to guarantee it would be on other platforms for at least a decade (which was taken up by other rivals including Nintendo).

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) accepted that promise and said it did not think the console market would be harmed – leading most to expect it to wave the deal through. But at the last minute it surprised everyone by blocking it on different grounds, arguing that the acquisition would give Microsoft undue power to shape the nascent field of cloud gaming

Not really.

Between this deal and the Kroger buying Albertsons', you REALLY should be worried right now.

The UK and the US are correct that a monopoly is not in anyone's best interest, given Microsoft's history in the 90s.

You realize that Microsoft was known for illegally pushing out other competitions in the 90s, right?

Their owning multiple IPs and studios is just a symptom of corporations merging and owning more shares of the market than any actual entity.

It's why we only have them for computer software aside from Apple and Linux. :psyduck:

Ma'am, Microsoft was sued for...... putting a damn browser on their OS. You realize that, right?

Not you pretending to be a corporation warrior. Worry about the corporations merging that YOU use and love everyday :deadbanana4: This is what CURRENT illegal abuse looks like:

Literally violating an international Trade Decree :psyduck:

The nerve to put Apple besides Windows or Linux:

Apple can't even make a damn USB-C cable in compliance with EU's rules, sit down :psyduck::psyduck:

You know that Apple was literally being sussed out by the EU for that reason? Trying to force consumers in a specific type of cable for profit?

Microsoft was sued for the monopolization tactics we're seeing in real time by Walmart and Kroger. It's not nearly as extensive as Time-Warner but Microsoft owning as much studios as they would with Blizzard-Activision (who are being lambasted for their sexual harassment suits). I don't give a damn about any particular corporation because they have more ******* rights than you or me because of a certain case under the US Supreme Court.

So kindly stop making an ass of you and me because I despite corporations that made 150% profit in a pandemic that killed millions.  Which is every retailer in existence.

Hopefully EU forced a clause for Spyro 4 to happen before 2030

Is this why they cancelled OW2 PVE
