Hector Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 She's won 3 BAFTA film awards, but this is her very first TV award win (their equivalent of the Emmys where she's won a couple of those) for her performance in "I Am Ruth" that she acted in with her real life daughter Mia Threapleton. Only one of the greatest actresses

Most people is just incorrect. Like…factually, numerically. And I’m not even talking about globally, I’m talking about in America. Even using it as hyperbole is stretching it. Those films are not in the public consciousness and if you ask random strangers on the street they'd have no idea what films you’re talking about.
nostalgia Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 I will never forgive ha for shading ANGELlina Jolie

Career wise, she’s had exactly two ‘iconic’ or otherwise ‘well-remembered’ roles: “Titanic (Rose)” and “The Holiday (Iris)”. In the U.K, she also has “Sense & Sensibility” and “Finding Neverland”. Winslet, however, was one of the very few dramatic actresses who, at her peak in the 2000’s, was able to remain relevant, in-demand and highly sought after whilst undertaking more indie roles than blockbuster ones. She was easily as famous as Angelina Jolie or Halle Berry or Scarlett Johansson whilst being less of a box-office magnet. Even Meryl Streep has starred in more commercial films this century than Winslet and her career is at least 15+ years older. Edited May 15, 2023 by GoodGuyGoneGhetto
