fememeist Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Anyone that watches anime is a **** boy so I pay no mind to how it is now. Anime’s quality peak was with Haruhi Suzumiya and other 2000s animes I forgot. Anime’s success peak was Your Name
Laura Palmer Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 More, it’s so mainstream now and there’s been two massive recent smashes.
John Slayne Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 i don't hear about it as often, but people i know who were watching it 10 years ago are still watching it so i don't think it lost its audience
Poxy Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 It’s bigger than ever. I think more people are watching or appreciating anime in general, beyond the same 3 popular “flavor of the month” shonen titles

Gorjesspazze9 Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Why would it be less? Anime is like 10x more global than it’s ever been. What are y’all talking about? like do y’all remember how niche Full Metal Alchemist and Naruto were during thier commercial and Critical Peak?! Compared to today when it’s borderline mainstream.

Ichinaru19 Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 More. Back then you couldn't find anime merch at all in stores, but now you can find it in plenty

Robert Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 All the household names (Yugioh, Pokemon, Dragon Ball etc) are from the late 90s/00s but anime is more mainstream now largely due to the Internet.
