i don't hear about it as often, but people i know who were watching it 10 years ago are still watching it so i don't think it lost its audience

It’s bigger than ever. I think more people are watching or appreciating anime in general, beyond the same 3 popular “flavor of the month” shonen titles

Anime is like 10x more global than it’s ever been. What are y’all talking about? 
 

like do y’all remember how niche Full Metal Alchemist and Naruto were during thier commercial and Critical Peak?! Compared to today when it’s borderline mainstream.

i think it was generally considered okay, but only for children, with pokemon being the one that the gp automatically knew.

 

for the spring i've been going through all the manga series whose first volume has 100k+ ratings on goodreads. lots of action/fantasy...

All the household names (Yugioh, Pokemon, Dragon Ball etc) are from the late 90s/00s but anime is more mainstream now largely due to the Internet.
