No, but Toy co-writer Stav Beger is involved and he is the reason why there's drama over the writing credits. The song was originally written by Keren Peles and Avi Ohayon, who want full writing credits, but Stav Beger worked on it later and he wants royalties too.

Supposedly there's a second option called Never Going Home as well, but that title also sounds... questionable to say the least.

Wasn't Never Going Home the song EBU rejected initially? I've seen that title being thrown around a lot this week. Anyway, I cannot wait for the drama that would ensue. There better be one kii.

An Israeli song called October Rain.. probably some dumb bland ballad - but what about the raining of missles on Palestinans? :biblio:

the AzerBUYjan song sounding like some villain song from a cartoon.. oh the genocide barbies are out in full force and the EBU is doing nothing :deadbanana:

jfc the song has not been out for more than 24 hours and y'all are already making predictions based on what exactly?

OT: Warsaw 2025

I'm glad you like the song. It's actually been out for a month and it's been discussed among Polish Eurovision fans for a few weeks now. I only shared my initial thoughts now that she has been officially announced but they will probably change once we see the staging, changes they'll probably implement etc.

I don't hear it personally but there's some suspect lyrics elsewhere in the song

You can hear that line around 1:30

Plus, why are people sleeping on Pedestal? I don’t get the hate/lack of interest.

No, Never Going Home was a demo Eden Golan worked on before she was even on HaKochav HaBa. Twitter losers ran with that demo after purposely mistranslating the article about the EBU and KAN working together to approve lyrics to the Israeli song. The optics of Israel sending a song called "Never Going Home" in the midst of a hostage crisis would be just :toofunny2:If October Rain is the song that's been chosen by the Israeli delegation, it means that the EBU has already cleared it to compete. The song is supposed to be announced this week, but I guess we'll see.

There's plenty of drama in the Israeli delegation this year besides the song selection, including beef between Eden Golan's team and Noa Kirel's team. They recorded a duet version of Unicorn for the TV broadcast of Eden's song, but apparently Noa's team edited Eden's part down and mixed her vocals weirdly :deadbanana2:

In other news, Poland's song absolutely EATS. Luna is coming to serve in Malmö! Her ARTPOP could mean anything!

Lowkey don't want her to steal the 'wacky older woman' thunder from Nebulossa but I would be so here for seeing that blue hair on the ESC stage

Belgium’s song doesn’t do it for me and I’m not a fan of the theatrics in the MV.

I could still see a possible top 10 for it though.
