ZIVERT Posted January 6 Posted January 6 The way Melodi Grand Prix easily has 5+ songs that are amazing and would easily do well, omg. Norway came on this ***** mad as hell 1
Fevesy Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Not Doda interested in Eurovision since the TVP reform (they previously hated/banned her)

Also she rebuilt her relationship with TVP earlier this year before the reform. Anyway, I support Justyna for this, she recorded Witcher specifically for the contest and she's really giving her all Edit: One more thing about Doda's and TVP conflict - they reconciled before the government change but AFTER the director at the TVP changed like last year I think? Allegedly there was some conflict with that director specifically Edited January 6 by gimmelaugh

Hurem Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Baby Lasagna has a strong momentum going for him, but doesn’t seem to have a team behind him. It could easily go to waste if he doesn’t hire a good PR/social team

Allegedly there was some conflict with that director specifically Oh that's good to know. My polish ex was the one telling me about the relationship between Doda and TVP a while back so I assumed it these new developments were all due to the new government/reform recently! I think Justyna should get it because as you said, she made the song specifically for the contest and Mama is the like the god knows how manyth single from Aquaria.

Hurem Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Just now, elvenOCEAN said: Wait, what do you mean? He’s a new artist and he was a back up for Dora, only finding out he’s competing couple of days ago. He’s handling all this hype on his own and I’m not sure if he can keep it going for a whole month all on his own. Most artists who won in recent years (Albina and Let 3) had a whole campaign ready to go the moment they were announced as competitors, unlike Lasagna. He managed to secure a stage director, which seems promising, but knowing Croatian audience, he needs to start building his online presence. 1

I mean I like Doda and I like Mama but I really feel now is Justyna's moment, first of all I like Witcher a lot, it's a more interesting song t me and I like how she's passionate about this song and the contest. Doda has been having a renaissance of her career for the past couple of years and she's huge in Poland rn and Justyna, although she's a legendary and well-known singer, hasn't been in the spotlight for a long time now and Witcher kinda put her back in it. For those who are intrigued and haven't heard yet, these are the songs we're discussing!
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted January 7 ATRL Moderator Posted January 7 Witch-er is definitely the moment and the most interesting song of the contest so far, I just really need them to solidify that choice.
nasa Posted January 7 Posted January 7 slavic english is WINNING alyona alyona you’re done and jerry you’re x3 done
Bloodflowers. Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Just heard Baby Lasagna and this is the most excited and invested I have been in my country's song since early 2000's. Finally something new, modern, different and unique. Sick of bland, uninspired mid songs that are occupying Dora every year in Ctoatia
Funhouse Posted January 8 Posted January 8 (edited) Silia Kapsis taking that song that the Greek broadcaster was sued over last year (which was supposedly written for Russia in 2022)... I have to laugh Dated as hell too but I will be streaming Edited January 8 by Funhouse
Solaria Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I’ve never been more disinterested in a Eurovision season as I now. The level of quality in the NFs so far is tragic. MARINA SATTI PLEASE COME SAVE US!!!! 1

Hopefully it’s just a demo and will be better once it’s officially released
BOOM! Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Dora 2024 is absolutely terrible! They all seem stuck somewhere in 90s or 00s. 90% of it sounds so, so dated and borderline unlistenable. Also seeing few AI videos, made everything even worse. I am following Dora for years now, but year after year it somehow manages to always disappoint. Baby Lasagna was sent from the heavens to save them from NQ i fear...
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted January 9 ATRL Moderator Posted January 9 Not my winner potentially being Germany
Funhouse Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I was feeling hopeful at the beginning of this Eurovision season but every new national final song is more dreadful than the last 1

The thought of Irish grannies watching the Late Late show and hearing/watching this is taking me OUT I need Ireland to send this. There's a rumour that the new flop Louis Walsh boyband is gonna compete there and I need no payola or the Irish public to go "oh they look like a nice couple of lads" *votes*
