Btw, that Spanish journalist that was complaining about "press freedom" was recorded harassing the Israeli delegation after heckling Eden :skull: the mess continues

How is that harassment? I would also show the middle finger to anyone recording me without consent :deadbanana4:

Also that clip is just 5 seconds long, it was clearly cherrypicked to make him look bad.

People who are aware of the number 5 will be aware hes OUT (if hes out), if anything it would affect other countries which aren't kicked (cause their fans might not be aware of the change)

Yep I realized my mistake, I mentioned that already (except the part about a lot of other numbers changing too if it were to actually have that effect).

I mean if Joost really did something extremely problematic then wouldn't he be disqualified be now? Why does it take almost 6 hours to investigate something like this? They're cameras everywhere in the arena :toofunny2:

Because it's a serious matter. If he really did assault someone then he can quite literally be charged for that. It's not a decision that

can be made instantaneously

I feel like we are not getting the full picture :x

  • Why are press accreditations suddenly being snatched?
  • Confused hosts during rehearsal/not knowing what's going in
  • Cancelled press conferences
  • Österdahl fleeing the scene
  • Angelina impromptu singing an anti-war song
  • Rumours of harrassment involving KAN

Excusing the heckling of performers by an accredited journalist is not the route we want Eurovision to go down, or else we will see Albania-Serbia, Azerbaijan-Armenia, Greece-Turkey, and other journalists from countries with political drama step up to the plate for more local political theatre. It's one thing if you're a fan, but if you are there to do a job, behaving with a modicum of class is the bare minimum expectation. This goes for the Israeli journalists who are also behaving like children and should have their press pass revoked.

That's just my opinion, though.

While evidence is important, this isn't a criminal investigation yet. They EBU is seemingly purely investigating whether or not he should be disqualified or not

I miss the simpler times when this dress was the most controversial thing about the Netherlands in ESC :toofunny2:

If a staff member was assaulted, they would've called Swedish police, no?

Hearing reports that the entire arena is booing and shouting Europapa :ahh:

Exactly. Can you image if they permitted him to perform  this evening and then tomorrow the Swedish police announce an investigation? The EBU has to proceed carefully.

Switzerland is flopping hard on YouTube, it's like nobody cares about his performance, so why he's still holding in Top 3 by Odds :giraffe:
