Eric. Posted May 10 Posted May 10 This Semi was totally better than the first one. Lots of good songs. Greece and Switzerland had the best performances. Relieved that Armenia, Georgia and Estonia made it through. And brilliant idea to have Herreys close out the night! 2 1

Usually its hard for me to connect with songs in language I cannot speak but I had goosebumps all over my body at that final chorus Only if you watched that performances for the 1st time. He had better performances of Mon Amour both emotionally and vocally. It was good but something was missing.
Eric. Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Marina blew my mind. She ate them tf up. I'm obsessed. However, I'm still rooting for Croatia to win. The song is good, Baby Lasagna would be a fantastic winner and we need to have a new country win this thing for once! 1
blown away Posted May 10 Posted May 10 (edited) If Israel wins the contest, they could just make sure next year's contest coincides with their Yom HaZikaron holiday. This also happened in 1980 and Israel didn't participate that year despite winning in 1979. Edited May 10 by blown away

Waylon performed right after Netta, Duncan won, Jeangu was right before Måneskin, and S10 was sandwiched between Chanel and Kalush orchestra... I fear the pattern might hold again this year so israel

BOOM! Posted May 10 Posted May 10 All the mental gymnastics here just to downplay Croatia for months now... It's giving delulu. 1
nasa Posted May 10 Posted May 10 I have to apologise to my Spanish haters besties here. After hating on chanelé the past 2 years (deservingly so) I'm switching on sPAIN ZORRA was my favorite performance yesterday and y'all deserve top 10 af lemme vote on Saturday 3
fever2288 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 I am not that much invested, but what are the death slots everybody is talking about?
nasa Posted May 10 Posted May 10 the odds are a MESS right now I don't remember this happening ever before the GF. running order and RAI did their things

anti-bitch Posted May 10 Posted May 10 But this year people can start voting even before the first song in the final! And they can keep voting all the way until 40 minutes after the last song. https://eurovision.tv/about/voting-malmo-2024 So I don't know if coming in early in the running order is necessarily a bad thing anymore
Anthinos Posted May 10 Posted May 10 I wonder which countries will withdraw if Israel wins. I don't think we will see Iceland and Ireland next year. And Spain, Slovenia etc. want to recognize Palestine as a state this month. Personally, I won't watch Eurovision next year if they win. 1 2

Veis Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Sooo Lasagna or Nemo surely will win, right? I think juries will at least a bit tank Israel, it would be a nightmare for EBU, how many countries would drop off? I placed a bit of money in bets for Croatia to win and Israel to be in TOP5, since I think it's already guaranteed
illia Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Honestly I don't think that the running order really matters this year since people can start voting right at the beginning 1

Definitely some changes are needed if they want to keep the festival alive. This year will be a fracture I'm 100% sure 2

A part of me actually hopes Israel wins so that they will feel the full wrath of the very deserved backlash they would get
zzmyth Posted May 10 Posted May 10 In all musical note... I still cannot believe how Italy went from my winner to a snoozefest that will be lucky to be Top10. I'm mad mad about that. The song is an absolute gem. The staging, the dancers, the costumes and her signing are at a 5/10. And even with a 9/10 song... a 7/10 performance. Sad tbh. I'm glad nemo did improve a lot and the performance actually stands a chance again. They are amazing performing and their song is strong. 1 1
EnterTheAttic Posted May 10 Posted May 10 (edited) I just came here to say that 'Everyway That I Can' is the best song to ever win Eurovision and Sertab Erener is the best thing that could happen to this year's trainwreck of contest. Edited May 10 by EnterTheAttic 1
