Just watched a certain stand-in rehearsal and um... the stage is not it :suburban:Is SVT not gonna deliver for the first time? The stage looks way too big for that small ass arena, but I'm hoping it'll look different with the crowd, and it was their first (or second) run through so there's lots of room for improvement.

Hm, it's fair to assume that the first stand ins are usually a mess, but even from the renders the stage does not seem very ESC-like.

Anyway, did that certain stand in rehearsal look promising? Is it an improvement/upgrade from a certain NF performance?

The stand in rehearsals are so iconic I wish more of them got leaked

Like why was this queen eating Efendi UPP with ease!?

it's also really fun to watch how the delegations are changing the perfomances last minute, like for example Kaarija's perfomance didn't have rainbow lights at first.

It was supposed to be much darker like this stand in rehearsal. Such tea about stagings are very interesting to me

Daily reminder that Baby Lasagna is the only artist that wrote/produced his entry all by himself

Are you a fan or hater???

He kinda ate everyone up with the layered vocals. Others had to spend thousands of euros to fight to qualify, while daddy Lasagna made his song in his bedroom and is a contender for the win

Not one coherent thought bouncing around in that massive head of hers. Being locked up inside her hotel room for the entire Eurovision experience is going to drive her absolutely insane.

Although I don't like Rim Tim, at least it's interesting.  Europeppapig is both awful AND boring.  How the **** is it in the top 3 for odds :deadbanana2:

The OGAE **** serving taste for once :clap3:

Perfect Top 10 if you ask me.

Tbh it's better not to win the OGAY poll thingy considering how often the actual winner wasn't the same

I just can't see Croatia winning, it's too inspired by Kaarija and copycats of entries from the year before never replicate the same success

Would be here for another Italian victory tbh

Only scenario I'd be happy with Croatia winning in is one where Albania qualifies and Spain finishes on the left side of the scoreboard :-*

It is genuinely no longer funny to see people spreading disinformation (read: deliberate misinformation) like this. You are giving bots. Neither the song nor the staging (choreography/costumes etc.) are in any way, shape or form related to Cha Cha Cha. Actually, yes, he is a male performer with an upbeat song. But if that's the criteria, then the Dutch representative has A LOT more to explain than Baby Lasagna. Ffs :biblio:

It is legitimate not to like songs, but to recycle the same lies over and over again is telling something about you as a person more than anything else.

Why are you doing the most over a comment :ahh: it's not that deep

Anyway, your take is delusional. They are absolutely related stylistically - they're both electro-rock songs and have a pop breakdown after the second chorus - Rim Tim Tagi Dim's song structure is absolutely reminiscent of Cha Cha Cha. If you can't see that then you're in denial. Now I'm not gonna say he copied Kaarija's outfit cause that's a reach but I won't lie, when I watched Baby Lasagna's performance for the first time and saw the ruffles, I thought of the bolero jacket because of the vibe of the song and how I thought of Kaarija. So when you take it at face value yes, people are naturally going to draw comparisons

The staging is different yes and so are the lyrics (haven't bothered to read the meaning of Croatia's but have read it's got a deep meaning so they won't be similar to Cha Cha Cha's party song) so they're not similar in that respect, but that doesn't detract from the points I made. When the GP watches in a few weeks, I guarantee you some of them will make those comparisons

Girl... :rip: I can agree that Cha Cha Cha and Rim Tim Tagi Dim have similar vibes, but what you said is literally incorrect. First of all, the structure is completely different. Cha Cha Cha literally becomes a different song in the final third of the song, while RTTD has a standard song structure (verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus). They're also different genres, with RTTD leaning more towards rock, while CCC leaned more towards industrial metal.

I have a feeling that France will win. France is massively underestimated by the fans. His performance can definitely win the jury voting and if he manages to get similar points as Marco Mengoni (and in my opinion Mon Amour is the better song), then he is definitely in the running for the win. I would wish it to Croatia, but I think that in the end it will only be enough for the top 5. I don't see Switzerland winning.

Spain must do well. Yes, she's not the best singer. Yes, the performance is controversial. But Zorra is such a good song. It would break my heart.

I genuinely don't get why people (specifically Baby Lasagna and Joost Klein fans) get so mad over Käärijä comparisons. Eurovision fans LOVE to compare random songs to other random songs! I've seen FAR more bizarre comparisons between unrelated songs! It's truly just part of the Eurovision experience

This is probably the set up for ramonda

When I heard RTTD I did immediately think of CCC but it was purely because of literally the repeating the song titles in the chorus, other than that they're fairly different. Europapa to me is like Joost's normal discography put through a filter to be suitable to be performed at Eurovision with some  influence by CCC, especially since Joost met with Kaarija to play the song for him before the announcement.

Even though RTTD isn't my actual favourite, it's truthfully the only song this year I heard and immediately thought "oh this is winning" :eli: That's just my opinion of course but I think about the first impressions the GP/Jury will have and that's a point in Croatia's favour since a song like Switzerland is a lot more "wtf" in terms of structure. France to me is the jury winner and they will eat up the mic thing, probably the GP will too
