Like why are you voting if you’re not watching the show live lol I assume some people will be watching live, just like a lot of people in Europe stay late to watch the Grammys or other award shows.
Simondus Posted March 11 Posted March 11 israel kinda clever to have a ballad with all the messy upbeat songs in the competition. will be interesting to see how they will do or if they even qualify for the finale. i’m guessing they would do fine with jury votes, but considering semi finales don’t have jury votes anymor

The song is everywhere right now in Greece but thats expected since Eurovision here is a big thing. But half of the population absolutely despise the song (inlcuding me)

It's a beyond idiotic change, it was scrapped for a reason Same way only opening votes after they are all done puts entries in the first half at a disadvantage because most people will have recency bias. It’s why the “let’s hope we draw second half” even exists
bluceleste Posted March 11 Posted March 11 I don’t think it’s a particularly strong year. There’s only one song I really like and it’s Lithuania. I previewed some of the songs from the Serbian selection and Duga Je Noć by Filip Balos has become my favorite song this year. It’s incredibly catchy. 21 hours ago, illia said: The music video is stunning. Her performance will be impactful if they incorporate those contemporary dance routines on stage

Fevesy Posted March 11 Posted March 11 There's one big change still to come and I'm scared. The 50/50 split is still there so it's not that. SVT seems to be the one who is pushing for this voting change since they use Melfest as an example of it working (allegedly) in the blog post.
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted March 11 ATRL Moderator Posted March 11 Sweden opening the show and voting starting at the beginning of the show, I smell the riggory already 5
Pendulum Posted March 11 Posted March 11 my tinfoil hat is telling me that the news about voting being open throughout the show and with Sweden opening are somehow connected 1 1
Fevesy Posted March 11 Posted March 11 How can Sweden keep getting away with it Jk it's gonna be like this instead 1
illia Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Omg they're really turning it into Melodifestivalen 2.0 Watch them introduce age groups next or something like that
illia Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Georgia dumping their artsy fartsy era and going for a generic diva ethno bop 1
Dante Posted March 11 Posted March 11 albania lucky they are in an easy semi georgia basic af what are armenia and azerbaijan waiting?
Funhouse Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Sweden is a great opener actually I'm sure people will give Sweden the same grace they gave Czechia and Austria the last 2 years when opening the show affected their televote score, they won't be insufferable about it at all
Fevesy Posted March 11 Posted March 11 We were slightly robbed.. just imagine Maria Sur performing first at Eurovision with that light show staging 'Cause I gave it my all But I don't even think of you Now I rave on my own And I don't even think of you Will you lo-o-o-o-o-o-o, o-o-o-o, love me when I'm gone?
