They should have sent Zejna if they wanted a guaranteed qualifier

Why wouldn't Serbia qualify? :rip:

They are in the same SF with Croatia and Slovenia. Also Teya Dora is one of the most well known participant this year. She had a really huge/viral hit in Europe and her Spotify numbers are huge.

that would have been a guaranteed #15 position in the semifinal.

It really isn't. People hate it. It'a the topic of the days here. It's on TV all of the time and not for good reasons.

Officially not watching this year but my friend sent me an mp3 of Israel's song and it's giving X-Factor Christmas Charity Single 2017 :rip:

Sadly, many amazing artists will be overshadowed this year due to the discourse, threats and protests that will be happening in Malmo because EBU refused to grow some balls. The energy this year will certainly feel weird for people who decide to tune in this year. Bit sad since I look forward to this show and this thread every single year :((

Not watching this year.

I love Eurovision, but it's disgusting that they're allowing Israel to participate.

They're definitely filtering comments on that YouTube video. Pretty much zero negative comments anywhere

I don't know if it's because the comments on youtube are filtered, but the overly positive comments and the fact that Israel is already 15th on the scoreboard app gagged me a bit. I'm scared

Not Eden getting asked about that crystal ball esc twitter post, you can just take a guess at what she said :toofunny2:

"Another question Gali, when your song was leaked today through the Twitter account of pro-Palestinian activists, next to your picture they pasted the inflammatory caption Israel is committing genocide, it is very possible that there will be similar things in Malmo. Pictures with similar sayings. What goes through your mind when you see something like this?"

Spoilering her response since you know..

Spoiler

That is not the truth, Israel does not commit genocide. And I do not wish for any country to go through what we are going through and really they could not understand what we go through in life. It is not like that.

Stupid people maybe shouldn't be heard I guess...
The Israeli song is nice, but it misses oomph, I wonder if she can hit that whistle note

Not surprised you saying this while you have an actual antisemitic artist as your AVI.
It's funny seeing how ignorant people are, yet have the courage to say stuff just for the sake of saying.

Now that Israel is officially going, I need Iceland to scrap Hera Bjork now and send that Palestinian guy to Eurovision instead WE NEED DRAMA and a jury/televote BATTLE :suburban:

it's currently at 20k likes and 26k dislikes

Croatia being high in the odds is interesting. I am here for a country who never won it before. Technically they have one win, under Yugoslavia but still.
