Breskvica is nothing more than a failed government project. So happy that she lost!

The song can be interprepted as calling for Kosovo to return to Serbia and basically to get rid of Albanians

"Otići će crne ptice, vedro biće ponovo" translates to "The Black Birds will be gone, the sky will be clear again" - the black birds referencing the Albanian flag.

She denied it being about that but then didn't actually provide a meaning behind it :toofunny2:

Breskvica is fully leaning into being right wings favorite pop girl, so I'm glad she lost. Everybody say thank you Marija Šerifović and Sajsi MC :clap3:

Oh, they are pissed, I’m reading some horrible stuff on Instagram, straight people in Serbia are so miserable :rip:

I am worried for her and Marija's safety now. Both are new mothers now but Marija as a queer parent is in even bigger danger now and has target on her back for giving Breskvica low points and angering far-right lunatics in Serbia

Also how funny is that Serbia has patriotic songs but never would north or west European countries ever send patriotic songs. Like I cannot ever imagine Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden etc singing in their native language, wearing traditional clothes and playing native instruments on stage about their admiration and love for their homeland

@KillingYourCareer I saw your comment under Breskvica's grand final performance on YouTube

Iceland not choosing Bashar and Hera Björk being used as a political pawn is insane. I guess an NQ is guaranteed at this point.

So I watched today's heat for Melodifestivalen, this is the first heat in like full that I watched through the season and this new Andra Chansen replacement is terrible and puts a disadvantage to the acts in the previous 4 heats, and the acts in Heat 5 ended up going to the final. I feel this is such a weak year in a hosting year but I feel the winner this year is very open. The odds were favoring Wiktoria in 2017 but Robin Bengtsson won that year and went to Kyiv. So anything could happen. The people who went to the final were the people who were in the same heat, like Annika and Jay Smith.

@LovaticSwiftie  I am hoping for a Jacqline, Maria Sur, or Dotter to represent their country on home soil. A Marcus & Martinus would've been favorable for me last year if Loreen didn't participate, but here we are. But after tonight's events, I am not sure. Sweden doesn't have to worry about qualifying this year anyway, just send something fun like Effortless.

Yeah, it's her out of two of them that's being used as a political pawn :suburban:

Ot: who's SVT trying to make happen with that running order, Danny, Liamoo? (not maria sur that's for sure ) Dotter would stand out in Malmo considering there aren't any female ballads in english yet, but I'm not sure if the song is strong enough

What's falling into place? Y'all think it will win just because it's Kaarija 2.0, but the reality is he has a lot of competition (similar joke acts) this year, that Kaarija didn't have. If anything they all will cannibalize each other.

What's lifeless is Peachka's empty and outdated pandering to evil nationalistic Balkan stupidity.

Teya at least gives Serbia a respectable entry with a current sound - even if ultimately it doesn't do anything at the contest.

So why aren't they doing similar to him in the odds? :alexz3:

I also feel we’ve too many joke acts this year. Watch one of them bombing HARD. And I’m not only talking about Estonia.

Lmao. The way taste has left the chat...

Slutpop girl turned into forced ethno-folk girl overnight. Calling out other competitors and previous winners. Saying that the song has to represent Serbia (whatever that means). Saying that Luke and Konstrakta songs did not represent Serbia. Organized campaign by Government and Serbian church. Bots working 24/7 online. Organized, paid voting campaign...

Yeah, she really deserved to win! :suburban:

Let me NOT start with how BAD everything about her outdated, flop song and performance/staging directly from 2000s was! It's not 2003 anymore, it's time to move on.

Except he isn't a joke act, and his song sounds way different than those joke entries. Finland and Netherlands are gonna cannibalize each other because they are goofying on stage, they look goofy and more importantly, they are inspired by the same 90's eurodance pop music. Baby Lasagna is in the rock/nu-metal category and nobody really is his competition there except for Norway but their sound is waaayy different. Rim Tim Tagi Dim is catchy and people are gonna love sing along to it than Europapa or that Estonia song

I was rooting for Zorja, she would've put France in it's place with her vocals and way more interesting staging performance!
