Pendulum Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Actually no, I'd still be bitter because in this scenario, Israel would potentially be disqualified because of rule breakage and NOT because of the things they're doing right now. That way EBU and KAN get to save face. It's smelling like self-sabotage. 1 1
BOOM! Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) Yeah, this looks like a self-sabotage if true. They know what they are doing and EBU is still an absolute TRASH and nothing else! Edited February 21 by BOOM!
Pendulum Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Oh by the way, the Israeli girlie might actually be banned from entering Ukraine as she performed in Crimea in 2016. Instead of Ukrainian eurofans going after Aiko and Joost, maybe they could've directed their frustration towards Eden.

Eurovision might not be a priority for her. Annalisa’s career is at its peak in Italy right now. Attempting to represent another country would be dumb

Attempting to represent another country would be dumb it's San Marino, it's not like she's representing a big foreign country outside of italy, all the singers participating at the contest are basically italians, Achille Lauro participated and won in 2022, sadly with an awful song but that is another argument, nobody had anything to say against that, it's literal the stans of the singers that suggested that. Properly because she's popular in this moment that it would have been the right moment of doing something like this and getting a foreign exposition since she has been irrelevant for many years and her momentum might not last to get other chances in the future.

They know what they are doing and EBU is still an absolute TRASH and nothing else! I have thought this for a while. EBU gets too much money from sponsorships from Israel and doesn’t want to intervene in the political landscape Israel has created. Israel knows they’d be incredibly unpopular and would risk the safety of their delegation if they attend. If they remain steadfast in this political song, EBU gets a free out to remove them from the competition without angering other nations like Germany. And Israel can turn around and use their removal as continued propaganda in their own country. It’s why Israel was the extra number in the allocation draw, and why they are in the semi of 16 instead of 15. Their removal is already planned, it’s just a matter of time until it’s made official imo 1
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted February 21 ATRL Moderator Posted February 21 I wonder when we’ll get the announcement? Seems like a sure thing at this point

Green Tea Is Green Posted February 21 Posted February 21 The Israel news, not the way I wanted them to go but just a step closer till they're out Any news on Armenia? I've seen armenians think they won't be participating for some reason but I need them to save this year and get that win
Blue Jeans Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Woah just checked who is not participating this year. Why so many countries in 2024? Why no Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, North Macedonia? But nice to see Luxembourg back after 31 years

The irony indeed They've gotten a lot of stuff right but have also been wrong a few times so I'm not sure if I wanna trust it I just hope they get to participate one way or another, I read things have gotten even worse with Azerbaijan recently so it'd be a shame if they don't get to participate while Azerbaijan is still there

illia Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I feel like Malena should've waited a bit instead of Junior Eurovision because Qami Qami would've won the adult Eurovision EASILY or at least top 3 for sure
