Bad numbers for Jonas Brothers considering their last era was big and they're doing pop.

It's going to be interesting to see how the negative backlash from the Ja Morant story is going to affect NBA Youngboy's numbers.

People saying Jo Bros are doing bad numbers considering albums released in the last year that had hits and did half the sales :giraffe:

The STOMP X10

So her fans did stop buying the originals & switched to TVs. I wasn't sure how that would work.

The STOMP X10

This is Taylor’s peak, she has never been this popular honestly :skull:

1989 was her biggest era, but currently her career is at its peak

The original singles did stomp on the Taylor’s Version singles for a while, but the new (as in, re-recorded, but also vaults do help some) album tracks always made up for it thankfully. It’s interesting though, because at one point the lack of editorial streaming playlisting seemed to harm the new versions of the singles. However… with the massive interest in her discography, even the new singles (ex: Love Story / YBWM TVs doing 900K, original versions doing 400-500K) are stomping the old ones. Same for Red ones as well, which I would assume comes down to the impact of her artist-curated playlists (with all the new versions) being the most relevant to increasing her numbers.

It’s too bad the original Fearless and Red don’t have quite enough streams to enter the BB200 and give her 12 albums at once though. At least the price for that is the new versions being #23 and #33 :deadbanana4:

The investment firm who owns her old masters no longer re-produce her old albums.

As with the streams, she really sold the narrative, that even part of the music-following GP  is onboard.

out of curiosity, actual sales last week for bmr taylor albums, hdd estimates:

rep 1362 copies - 18k this year

speak now 788 copies

1989 703 copies - 11k this year

not big numbers, but comparable to, say, Her Loss with 13k this year or bad bunny's album with 17k this year.

Midnights' chart run is so wild. Like it has to actually be doing better than 1989 in the US at this point :deadbanana2:

Doubt it lol that album is still doing high numbers and seemed to resonate with the gp too like 1989 did so I doubt loser would overpass it.

It is crazy how midnights managed to outlast sos, hair loss and some others

29th week on the Billboard 200

3. Midnights: 60K units
9. 1989: 37K units
9. Fearless: 33K units

It's literally doing double but 1989 was ~6 million atp in US.
