No, it's the albums themselves as a whole. Anti alone sold over 30k pure copies this year. Thanks for pointing it out!

Why do y’all act like her peers don’t have as many albums if not more 💀

 

But unlike her peers… she hasn’t released an album in over 7 years… yet has already sold 1M+ albums 4-5 months into the year, something only Taylor & SZA have achieved this year so far… and both of them have released albums a few months ago.

Her only catalog album that charts is anti and that’s a streaming era album. I’m surprised GGGB and Loud don’t chart considering they have a lot of hits. Even in Europe where they were bigger unless she released something or has a big announcement. And yes it is because of the Super Bowl. Only anti was charting prior to that. Taylor has had albums charting for years and ctrl was also charting in the top 50 before the release of SOS.

Ctrl was SZA’s only album prior to SOS and Taylor has released a hundred albums in the streaming era on top of re-releasing the ones that didn’t come out during the streaming era. You’re comparing that to an artist who’s been on a hiatus from dropping any type of albums for 7 years. Pls make the comparison make sense 😭

Your life must be miserable that you feel the need to constantly engage in Rihanna threads just to discredit her success. No matter how you spin it, it's extremely impressive that she is the 3rd female to cross 1M sales in the US despite not releasing for 7 years. No amount of albums or Superbowl performances will make it any less impressive.

Out of a bit over 300k for Anti (so ~10% of its total sales, which is obviously great for 2023). 1 Million is for her entire catalogue.
