Back to live instruments? It's seriously what their music has been missing. While their new stuff has been pop and fun (and wildly successful), I miss that live instrumentation that they became famous for incorporating that sound with big pop productions.

The song is very Jon Bellion, tbh.  That actually made me kinda like this song.

Sounds like it was made in early 00's and this should be what they aim. They went WAY too mainstream during 10's.

the irony because everyone was complaining about this being too boring lol i'm more than fine with it. no one should be expect especially after all this time musical greatness from the likes of maroon 5
