Gabe² Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 It seems there is not a recommended intake for biotin. I’ve seen products containing 300mgc of Biotin per serving up to 25,000 mgc which one is better? Which one do you take?
DamianSolo Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 The multivitamin I take has 100 mcg, 333% of it. It's N-Motion, Alpha Men.

Depending on your purpose, high doses of biotin are used to help seborrheic dermatitis and it's better that you discuss with your healthcare before taking them, if you just need it for hair growth and nails a basic one of 300mgc is enough, however it's rare to have a deficiency of that vitamin.
malan863 Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Biotin, or vitamin B7, is essential for metabolism. The recommended daily intake is 30 mcg for adults and 35 mcg for breastfeeding women. Most people get enough from a balanced diet. Biotin supplements, often marketed for hair, skin, and nails, range widely in dosage, from 300 mcg to 25,000 mcg per serving. Higher doses are generally unnecessary unless prescribed for a deficiency. For general health, sticking to the recommended daily intake is sufficient. Always consult a healthcare provider before taking high-dose supplements. I personally do not take biotin supplements.
