I swear, no one looks you in your face more than an older person does! Just walking on the street and the energy is so rude. 
maybe you just stop caring as you age?

honestly, it's possible that they're also jealous of missing out and not being themselves enough when they were younger

Its a problem of people all ages. Definitely seen old people doin it and some people my age too. Idk

Old people don't care. My grandma loves pointing out when me, my siblings or any of our cousins gained weight, lost weight and makes fun of our cooking.

its more of the fact that i'll be eating in a restaurant with friends and look in a general direction and don't realize the person in my line of sight thinks i'm looking at them
