Bayonetta 3 should be in the bin. Doesn't deserve to be a million seller

Is this measured in units? Like Zelda having 29 Million cartridges of the game sold?

If that's so, how was the software measured? 1 Billion games downloaded?

- BOTW will reach 30M before the end of the next quarter :clap3:

- Super Mario Odyssey will overtake SwSh soon :clap3:

- Metroid Prime sold 1M in a month despite being a shadow drop remaster :clap3:

FE Engage might overtake XC3 in the long term despite being released only a few months ago… but the Three Houses effect might have worn off cause these sales are definitely frontloaded

Nintendo resting on the same franchises for decades. :deadbanana2: They really said nothing new and the audience ate it up. :dies:

Yeah but Pokemon's sales will slow down significantly from here. I doubt it will have any chance to overtake Zelda

BOTW even reaching 20m was a miracle. Pokemon IP >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Zelda. It just speaks to how crazy well BOTW performed that they're even being compared

Other consoles have to launch new IPs cause their older ones don’t have the longevity that Nintendo’s IPs do :fan: Splatoon is relatively new and Arms despite being forgotten is still a multimillion seller. They do experiment when they want to

Also, some of these Ninty franchises innovate their gameplay every once in a while to stay relevant. Pokemon can’t relate though because GameFreak is incompetent :fan:

Pokémon would be even more succesful with a longer development time and a better team like Zelda's

Metroid barely doing 1M :deadbanana4: The way Nintendo tried to sabotage it with that shadow drop and limited release :rip:

Scarlet/Violet will keep selling great specially with the DLC coming out later this year and no other mainline game or big spin off ahead. BOTW will keep selling because it's a cult classic at this point and TOTK will push it a bit more but it will eventually slow down.

It's funny how everyone don't really appreciate Scarlet and Violet's success only because it's Pokémon and we're used to it but I've read that it is 5M above what Sword/Shield had sold at this moment. That's HUGE. :deadbanana2:

If it keeps selling as good, it will definitely end around 30M sales.

Xenoblade coming for 2M. :clap3:

A shame they did the DLC so wrong with that awful surprise release and the lack of promo. This will barely affect it.

Not sure if XC3 will snatch 2’s wig at this point.

FEE and B3 being million sellers I-

I contributed to those sales and got bored of both in the first few chapters   awful games

It will need time that's for sure. XC2 benefited from the lack of Switch videogames back in the day + it's had 6 years to reach 2.4m vs XC3 1.8m in less than a year.

XC2 also saw a increase in sales after the Smash Bros announcement.

Maybe in 3 or 4 years... Although by that time everyone will have moved to Nintendo's next console so the game will barely sell anymore.

It’s both physical and digital. It prob would’ve done 1.5M if Nintendo didn’t have a supply shortage and didn’t do that weird marketing strategy for it.

But yeah the 1.09M is both physical and digital

And? Same for other companies and people love these games. Nintendo reinvents their franchises and keep them fresh so what’s the problem?

They did introduce new successful franchises with Splatoon and Xenoblade.

It’s really sad how Nintendo completely missed the point of GaaS with one of the biggest releases of all time. :deadbanana:

Maybe they will have a long term plan for the next Animal Crossing.

TOTK coming to finish off the Switch era with a bang.

Nintendo needs to release Switch 2 ASAP and not change the concept like they usually do. Give us more of what we love.
