Pop Emergency: Ed's new album debuts with 15.9M streams; only 3/18 songs charting

I'm not remotely surprised its bombing. He's a GP artist. Eventually the GP moves on to something else.

I actually haven't heard anything from him since Bad Habits.

Ed released a collab with Luke Combs. It seems to be doing well so far:

iTunes US following ACM Awards

#12 (+165) Life Goes On

#72 (NEW) Life Goes On (feat. Luke Combs)

The numbers are tragic but he still had a solid decade-long run despite being a GP artist, a feat that Katy and many other artists failed to achieve before massively flopping.

this. his success was so high so i get why people are looking at this sometype of way but he made it very clear that this project wasn't intended for commercial purposes and it's doing far better than most people who are catering and pandering for popularity

I think most male artists are just gp darlings. The only dudes with a fan base are the ones who became teen idols and grew up with the public like the Justins. :duck:
