ChrisTheLoner Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 (edited) Being dropped by the GP cuz he never built a strong fanbase The male Katy Perry Edited May 6, 2023 by ChrisTheLoner
Lady Claire Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 A mess but knowing Ed, be ready cause he'll do whatever it takes to get a smash with something of this album. Not sure if it'll work but he's just starting
its_britney_bitch Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 Not Buzzjack jumping me because I dared to call Ed’s new album a flop “it’s not a flop it’s an underperformance!!11!!!1!”. He has 6 songs in the top 200; every song from his last album made the top 30. It’s a ******* flop!

Zaynsus Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 It's probably just the GP not connecting to his new music, when he comes back with the hits, he'll start smashing again. He's out there selling out stadiums and arenas for his tour, I don't think people dropped him.
More Than A Melody Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 Ed had a fanbase with + and X but steadily lost it with his following releases. His fanbase is now the GP. This album made no noise so the GP doesn't even know it exists to push it along, and he doesn't have a fanbase, so who's gonna stream it or buy it? That's why it's important to always build both. The same thing would happen to Bruno Mars if his next output didn't make noise, but I doubt that's gonna happen. I remember writing something very similar about Katy a few years ago. The difference is that Ed was appreciated by the public and he can still sell out stadiums like it's nothing. So if his next album does make noise (a big single will do that, like it happened with Shivers and Bad Habit), then he'll go back to selling well. And this probably has to do with the fact that Ed is a musician with an ear for hooks and Katy relied more on having the hot producers to work for her.
Theluckyone Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 Really flopped. Even the thread on his floppage is flopping on ATRL..

brenda-walsh Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 what is going on? its not like he even faced backlash or anything, its just bombing on its own
