Happy national prayer day🙏 🙏STAY PRAYED UP🙏✝️

He launched the hashtag #prayer40 40 days ago on a Today show interview. He promised, while "wearing" a cross made by ashes on his face, 40 days of no sins, no sex and praying on his knees 10 times at days. It ends today.

American actor and producer Mark Wahlberg recently joined the Today Show, telling host Savannah Guthrie

It’s afforded me so many things. You know, God didn’t come to save the saints. He came to save the sinners. We’ve all had things, issues in our lives, and we want to be better versions of ourselves.

Wahlberg’s remark that God came to save sinners is also spot on. Mark 2:17 says:

And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners” (ESV).

“When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men … but when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen.”

Perhaps he should try less spectacle next time.

Is the dye job for a role? It looks horrible :rip:

Mark Wahlberg's net worth is $400 million from his investments including the gym and roidrat partnerships with GNC so unfortunately he can afford to act the fool like this for the theocrats in this country because he knows there's a wide swath elsewhere that don't believe his apologies, don't think his response or punishment was enough, and that's he's still a racist.

He could have done the humble thing after getting away with a huge crime like Matthew Broderick and stay relatively quiet while still pursuing roles but his ego won't let him. He's so shameless :grump:

Embarrassing and weird. Just go to therapy and stop thinking this is the answer to your problems.

In cases like this where the person was truly unhinged before finding/rediscovering god, it's almost always a facade. Thats why it tends to be so rigid and intense. I'm not saying their faith isn't real, but they're using it as a substitute for therapy/accountability. Whatever is wrong with them never gets fixed, just buried under a veneer of piety.

Men will do everything, instead of seeing a professional, lmao.

god is just another way of shirking personal responsibility, blaming the "devil" and absolving themselves of introspection.
